You have been to that event
Hotel ballroom. Conference carpet. Chicken or fish. A room that will host somebody else's photographs next Saturday and look exactly the same.
Nobody remembers it. And the people who wrote the cheque know nobody remembers it.
A day this expensive should feel like it happened somewhere. Ours is a working farm outside Roanoke, and the beef on your guests' plates was raised in the grass behind them.
Real timber, open pasture, forty miles of Blue Ridge
Exposed beams overhead. Windows running the length of one wall, and past them, pasture to the treeline. Heated in February, air conditioned in July. The weather is something you look at, not something you plan around.
It sits directly behind the farm store, which puts the kitchen a hundred yards from your table instead of a hundred miles.
Ten minutes in the room
These are real events. Real guests, real dinners, real light through those windows.

The memories this venue was built to create
-
The wedding you pictured
The part people remember is never the room. It is standing outside at dusk with the hills going gold, everyone you love in one place, and nowhere else you have to be.
Up to 130 with dancing. 285 standing.
-
The offsite nobody dreads
No projector hum. No lanyards. No beige. People talk differently when they can see forty miles and nobody is watching the clock.
Weekday rates. Twenty minutes off Interstate 81.
-
The one that happens once
A fiftieth anniversary. A retirement after thirty years. The reunion everybody has been promising for a decade. Days like these do not come round again, and they should not happen in a function room.
Yours for the day, not for a two hour slot.
Your caterer walks across the yard
Most venues truck the food in.
Ours is already here.
The beef was raised on this farm, grass-fed and grass-finished, never a day of grain, no hormones, and no antibiotics. It dry-ages in our own cooler, a hundred yards from the table.
It is an option, not a requirement. Plenty of couples bring their own caterer and that is genuinely fine. But if you want the beef to come from the field your guests are looking at, we can do that.
Nobody remembers wedding food. Yours will be the exception. Guests go back for seconds, they ask where it came from, and you get to point out of the window.
The people who answer the phone

Brian and Jenn Bowen
Brian and Jenn Bowen farm this ground. The cattle you can see from the windows are theirs.
The Pasture Room exists because the same question kept coming up at the farm store. People wanted to know where you get married around here if you do not want a hotel ballroom and you do not want to gamble on a tent. There was not a good answer. So they built one.
When you call, you get one of them. Not a booking service and not a coordinator you will never meet again. The same two people who will be here for your event.

The questions everybody asks
How much does a wedding venue near Roanoke cost?
It moves with the day, the season and the headcount, and weekdays are meaningfully less than Saturdays. A full-day Saturday wedding runs $3,200 in winter to $4,800 in peak season, and weekdays start at $1,800. The full rate card is above. Put your date on the form below and we will confirm it in writing.
How far is it from Roanoke?
Fifteen minutes north, straight up Interstate 81, in Troutville. Close enough that your guests are not booking hotels. Far enough that it feels like the country.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. Bring whoever you like, and we will make them welcome.
We also offer our own farm-raised beef if you want it, and we keep a short list of local chefs who know how to cook over live fire. Either way works. Tell us what you had in mind.
How many guests does the barn hold?
Up to 130 for a reception with dancing, up to 160 seated without dancing, and 250 to 285 standing.
What happens if it rains?
Nothing. The room is indoors, heated and air conditioned. The pasture is the view, not the plan.
How far ahead should we book?
Saturdays in spring and autumn go first, often a year out. Weekdays and winter dates are usually open with a couple of months notice.
Three steps, and none of them cost you anything
You are not committing to anything by starting.
Send your date
Your date, or roughly when, and a rough headcount. Two fields on the form below.
Come and walk it
Half an hour on site. No deposit, no pressure, and you will know within ten minutes.
We put it in writing
Real numbers and what is included, in writing, so you can decide in your own time.
Come and stand in it
Photographs only get you so far.
Walk the room, look out of the windows, eat something off the farm.
Half an hour here will tell you more than a month of scrolling.
Getting started is easy
Tell us your date and roughly how many people.
That is honestly all we need to get started. No pressure, no hard sell, and no sitting on a waiting list wondering if anyone read it.
You will hear back within a working day with real numbers and, if you would like, a time to come and walk the room.
Would you rather just talk it through?
